Bringing Comfort and Connection to Karmanos Cancer Institute - Thank you, Glassman Subaru! - Mary G.
Thoughtful moments of care can make a meaningful difference—and this year's Subaru Loves to Care delivery at Karmanos Cancer Institute served as a powerful reminder that patients are surrounded by a community that stands with them throughout their journey. Through the partnership between Glassman Subaru, Blood Cancer United, and Karmanos Cancer Institute, blankets and care items were delivered to provide comfort, encouragement, and moments of warmth for patients receiving treatment. These deliveries represent more than a gift—they reflect a shared commitment to showing patients and families that they are supported every step of the way. A sincere thank you to Linda Filipczak for representing Karmanos Cancer Institute and helping welcome and coordinate this special experience. Their partnership helped ensure patients could receive these meaningful items and feel the care behind every delivery. We are incredibly grateful to Jeff Stewart, Mohamad Amin, and the dedicated crew from Glassman Subaru for bringing energy, generosity, and heart to this year's event. Their commitment to serving local patients and investing in the community exemplifies the spirit of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. From Blood Cancer United, thank you to Lauren Fryzel, Sarah Arminiak, and Lauren Burger for helping represent our mission and support the planning and coordination that made this delivery possible. Their collaboration helped create an experience centered on compassion, connection, and patient support. Together, these partners turned a simple blanket delivery into something much more—a meaningful reminder that care extends beyond treatment and that moments of kindness can brighten even the most difficult days. We are thankful to everyone involved for helping bring comfort, hope, and a sense of community to patients at Karmanos Cancer Institute.
Creating Unforgettable Memories For Families - Thanks Glassman Subaru! - Cindy C.

Experiences like these bring joy, healing, and connection during some of life's hardest challenges. We are deeply grateful for the love and care you pour into our mission and for creating memories our families will cherish forever. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of the children we serve!
Driving Impact: 10+ Years of Shared Commitment with MATIO | Kids Kicking Cancer - Melissa A.
For more than 10 years, George Glassman and the team at Glassman Subaru have shown what true community partnership looks like—consistently showing up for our kids and families through their Share the Love campaign and through our community events. This year's check presentation of $37,277 is more than a donation—it's a reflection of years of trust, compassion, and shared purpose. These funds directly support MATIO | Kids Kicking Cancer, helping children facing serious illness access tools for healing, resilience, and calm in the most difficult moments of their lives. Through this ongoing partnership, children with serious illness and their families are learning how to breathe through fear, manage pain with presence, and recognize their own strength. We are deeply grateful to George Glassman and the entire Glassman Subaru team for more than a decade of commitment to our mission and for continuing to invest in the wellbeing of the children we serve. Together, we are not only sharing the love—we are strengthening it, year after year.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Subaru - Christine D.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Subaru - At Wag Animal Rescue, every wagging tail and purring whisker are made possible by the generosity of friends like you. Today we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on one extraordinary partner Subaru whose recent grant has lit up our rescue with new hope. Why Subaru's Gift Matters - Subaru recognized the heart of our mission and graciously awarded Wag Animal Rescue a grant. Those funds are already at work covering essential veterinary care, nutrition, and daily supplies that keep our animals healthy and ready for their forever homes. Average Veterinary Fees $150 to $250 per cat, $500 to $1,000 per dog for exams vaccines, tests, and procedures such as spaying and neutering. Our monthly medical expenses routinely run between $10,000 to $15,000, so Subaru's contribution stretches far covering the full care of six dogs and thirty four cats that have already been vetted and placed into loving families. A Little History, A Lot of Heart Founded in 1988 by five compassionate women, Wag Animal Rescue began as a nonprofit determined to end reckless animal sales, rescue abandoned pets, and give every creature a chance at a safe, happy life. Today, our team of dedicated volunteers continue that legacy through:Rescues from shelters and owner surrenders giving animals a second chance. Trap Neuter Release (TNR) programs for feral cats humane population control and the possibility of adoption for friendly strays. Every Saturday, our team gathers for a bustling adoption event. With one shared goal matching each animal with its perfect forever family we turn hope into reality, one paw at a time.Thank You, Subaru. Subaru's generosity has already made a tangible difference: 34 cats and 6 dogs have received full medical clearance. Those animals are now thriving in permanent homes, thanks to the care your grant funded. Our volunteers can focus on what they love rescuing, rehabilitating, and reuniting pets with families without worrying about immediate costs. From all of us at Wag Animal Rescue our staff, our volunteers, and most importantly, the animals whose lives you have touched we extend a massive thank you. Subaru, your belief in our work fuels our mission and reminds us that together, teamwork truly makes the dream work. With gratitude and wagging tails, Wag Animal Rescue If you would like to learn more about how Subaru's support is changing lives or discover other ways to help please drop by one of our Saturday adoption events at Livonia PetSmart. Every extra hand brings us closer to a world where every animal finds a loving home.

For nearly a decade, Glassman Subaru has remained a vital partner of Kids Kicking Cancer’s Heroes Circle, helping to raise funds to support our growing pediatric programming. Designed to complement the work of pediatric health care professionals, our unique evidence-based therapeutic martial arts equip children with the tools necessary to self-regulate and face their pain during treatment and moments of extreme stress. Because of our partnership companies like Glassman Subaru, hundreds of families in Michigan are able to participate in our program free of charge. Meet Izzy, one of our Michigan students who was able to join the Heroes Circle because of the generosity of partners like Glassman Subaru. Born with complex congenital heart defects, Izzy has found Power Breathing, the therapeutic breath training taught through the Heroes Circle, to be especially useful in managing pain and exhaustion. She was introduced to the Heroes Circle and our AYA Teen Empowerment Program by a social worker at the beginning of the pandemic. The virtual format was do-able for Izzy, who is primarily homebound and has been privately schooled since fifth grade. Izzy truly exemplifies the Heroes Circle philosophy “Power, Peace, Purpose” and is a powerful martial artist with so much love, inspiration and creativity to share with the world! Subaru & LLS Blanket Drop Off - Mallory T.
Glassman Subaru was so amazing with their generous donation of 80 blankets to cancer patients! We dropped off the blankets to Beaumont in Royal Oak and most of the blankets will be going to the children on the hospital floors. I am so thankful to Glassman as they brought so many amazing blankets to very deserving people! Thank you for partnering with us and we cannot wait to do it again!
Thank you, Glassman! - Terry Y.
With my AdoptAClassroom.org donation from Glassman Subaru, I was able to purchase six stop motion animation cameras for students at Adams Middle School. Students will be using these to create short animations and do other really fun time lapse videos and projects. For my students, especially those who like to draw, this a chance to take on writing (which often is tough) and be able craft their own stories and turn them into short films. We will also be using this in our Drama and Media Arts club. As a matter of fact, several students who would not have tried out this club signed up after they heard about the cameras. We look forward to showing you some movies later this year! #SubaruLovesLearning
Global Impact from the Heart of Southfield, MI - Marc C.
For nearly a decade, Glassman Subaru has remained a vital partner of Kids Kicking Cancer, helping to raise over $100,000 during that time! Headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, Kids Kicking Cancer is a non-profit organization that offers evidence-based martial arts therapy to children suffering from cancer and other painful pediatric illnesses. Despite the pandemic, Kids Kicking Cancer has made a commitment to empower one million children to lower their pain and stress. Classes are delivered in person and virtually throughout hospitals, medical facilities, outpatient centers, home visits and schools across the United States and globally. This work and our ability to transition to virtual programming in 2020 was made possible through the generosity of individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners like Glassman Subaru. Thank you! Meet Vivian: The children in our Heroes Circle Pediatric Patient Program continue to amaze us each and every day. Vivian was diagnosed with a brain tumor at six weeks old. Multiple surgeries and treatments left her nonverbal, with damaged motor skills, a tracheotomy for breathing, and a feeding tube in her stomach. Despite her challenges and the 24/7 care she requires, Vivian does not let her disabilities slow her down. When asked what her favorite part of class is, she responds “My breathing. Thumbs up!” She has become a Power Breathing Warrior. It helps her to slow down, and significantly reduce her pain and discomfort. She taught her entire class how to power breathe earlier this year over Zoom. “We absolutely love Kids Kicking Cancer,” Vivian’s Mom Beth said. “The overall goal of teaching my daughter martial arts (which is great physical therapy), while simultaneously teaching her relaxation techniques is such a wonderful thing. She uses the deep breathing techniques during medical procedures and other times of increased anxiety. The ability to have lessons in our home (even virtually during the pandemic) has been a lifesaver, literally.”
