As a debut model, the new Subaru Solterra near Detroit is all new. Subaru finally decided to show the world how a practical electric SUV is done. This is the first Solterra available in the United States, so if you buy it, you’re getting an SUV that’s completely new.
The Solterra features a StarDrive all-electric powertrain rated at 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque. When combined with Subaru features like Symmetrical all-wheel drive, grip control, and X-MODE, this is one of the most thrilling and unique performances from any all-electric SUV.

The Subaru Solterra Premium starts off with an 8-inch Subaru Multimedia touchscreen to take care of all your family tech needs. There is a standard Blind Spot Monitor on every trim of the Solterra, and that’s something we don’t see often on other brands of SUVs. A Limited Solterra gets a lot fancier, though. It comes with a 12.3-inch Subaru Multimedia system, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a heated steering wheel. The fully-loaded Touring trim has a standard Panoramic fixed glass roof with power sunshade, heated and ventilated front seats, and a digital rearview mirror.
