Maintenance Schedule Subaru has implemented a great list of scheduled maintenance that is outlined in your 2015 Subaru WRX Service owner's manual. All regular maintenance includes various intervals. Regular scheduled maintenance is important especially during the early life of your vehicle. Various things such as tire rotations, oil changes, inspections, and checking certain fluid levels at various mile markers, all of which are very important to the breaking in of your new Subaru WRX. While some scheduled maintenance will be required earlier on there are also important maintenance markers worth taking note of such as the timing belt replacement, clutch, and even an inspection of your suspension and components. Subaru also recommends having your various fluids such as transmission, steering, and brake fluid be checked at the various intervals found in your owner's manual. All of the maintenance will help to increase and extend the life of your new 2015 Subaru WRX. Subaru has perfected their maintenance schedule to ensure that your Subaru WRX is in tip top shape all of the time, some of the various recommended maintenance you should have done is a 30,000 mile check, 60,000 and then at 90,000. While putting 90,000 miles on your Subaru WRX is a task in itself these recommended schedule times are to keep your Subaru WRX in perfect condition.

Oil Type and Capacity Subaru recommends that you use Subaru Synthetic 5w30 motor oil when performing an oil change. The Subaru Synthetic oil will help your engine to last longer due to the slippery characteristics of the Synthetic oil. The Synthetic oil makes for less engine wear, flows more easily in cold weather, therefore no loss of prime when the oil is cold. The synthetic oil is also highly resistant to viscosity breakdown, which is the ability of the oil to flow easily in all temps. The Subaru Synthetic Oil will measurably better low and high temperature viscosity performance, resistance to oxidation, thermal breakdown and oil sludge problems, better chemical and shear stability, decrease evaporative loss, extend drain intervals which provides an environmental benefit of less oil waste. The Synthetic oil also provides better lubrication on cold starts, longer engine life, and most importantly can even improve fuel economy in certain engine configurations.  Changing your 2015 WRX oil regularly will help to maintain maximum horsepower by reducing deposit formation that can be harmful to your vehicle. The capacity for oil can be found in your Subaru WRX owner's manual, as well as the interval for which the oil should be changed. Your 2015 Subaru WRX does require Synthetic oil especially due to the turbocharged engine.  Southfield MI auto repair.
